In order to become certified as an ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist, an attorney must complete a notoriously difficult and rigorous forensic chromatography course.
After the classes end, an examination of even greater difficulty is administered. High grades are required for passing and certification.
As a Forensic Lawyer-Scientist, Attorney Rene Flores can better understand and counter chemical-based evidence, such as:
- Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) test results in DWI cases
- Narcotic chemical composition or potency in drug crime cases
- DNA samples in violent crime cases
